Poroshenko made an indefinite moratorium on the payment of a debt of Russia on Eurobonds

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has approved a law that makes a moratorium on the payment of Russia’s Eurobonds worth three billion dollars a perpetual.

Previous law had established the expiration of the moratorium on external payments for July 1, 2016. Most of Ukraine’s commitments to foreign creditors were restructured, however, to agree with Moscow and Kiev failed. In the result, the authorities decided to extend the moratorium on payments on Russian Eurobonds.
