Scientists have selected the best forecasting method for longevity

American scientists from Georgetown University have discovered what methods of forecasting life expectancy are more accurate, according to PLoS One.

The generally accepted view that the length of the end parts of chromosomes (telomeres) it is possible to predict the life expectancy of the person, was erroneous.

Researchers within five years, we analyzed the mortality rates of people aged 53 years, examined the length of telomeres and other parameters, e.g. age, mobility and the presence of harmful habits.

The most accurate method of predicting the lifetime was a way that takes into account the age and the extent of his ability to climb stairs and overcome various distances.
