DNA was transformed into the world’s smallest diode

Israeli-American group of chemists have created the world’s smallest diode — rectifier electric current. The device is a short fragment of DNA that you entered (intercalaban) two foreign molecules. Despite the symmetry of the DNA used, the conductivity for electric current is different in different directions 15 times. A study published in the journal Nature Chemistry, briefly about it reports a press-release of University of Ben-Gurion University in the Negev.
