Ancient crustaceans kept offspring on leads

American and British scientists has reconstructed the fossils and described a new genus and species of arthropods, Aquilonifer spinosus, which lived about 430 million years ago. In addition to the adult contained the remains of ten individuals of a smaller size connected with adult thin filaments. Researchers believe that found a female with cubs: it appears that Aquilonifer spinosus was an unusual strategy for care for their offspring.
