The military Department must also agree on the duration and timetable of the withdrawal of the special forces.
Peskov recalled that the President ordered to ensure reliable protection of Russian bases from the land, sea and air, so certain appliances that perform these tasks there will surely remain.
According to the press-Secretary of Vladimir Putin with none of the Western leaders had not discussed their decision, and Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad, whom he called the meeting, didn’t ask him about the output of the group.
“The decision was made based on the evaluation of the results of operations of the Russian HQs in Syria,” – said Peskov. However, he refused to consider the result of the operation of the Russian VKS “defeating ISIL” (banned in Russia – “MK”), noting that talking about it would be wrong: yet no country in the world are unable to achieve victory over terrorism.
“Unfortunately, we have a shortage of political will for unification against terrorism,” said President’s press Secretary.
On a question of journalists, who will now fight ISIS in Syria, Peskov said that it would continue to engage government forces. “In Syria with the support of the Russian VKS created the preconditions for political settlement, now the legitimate leadership will continue to fight terrorism in the country,” he said.
However, Peskov refused to answer the question whether stopped bombing the terrorists on the remaining basis of the Russian aircraft. As for the political fate of Bashar al-Assad, it was not discussed today, he said.Related posts:
