“Putin ordered to withdraw from Syria, the Russian troops”

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin unexpectedly ordered the withdrawal from of all Russian troops. At the meeting with the defence Minister on the evening of Monday 14 March, it was stated that the task is completed. Earlier the Russian leadership has repeatedly stressed that it will continue to strike the terrorists to win. In addition it was stated that we are fighting the terrorists who came from Russia and beat them on foreign soil. Assad already warned about the decision of Moscow.

The President of Russia Vladimir Putin in the evening on Monday met with Russian foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. At this meeting it was made quite unexpected statement that the problem in Syria in particular, managed to turn the tide in the fight against terrorism, so he orders the withdrawal of all Russian troops, already starting from Tuesday 16 March.

The President also noted that Syria remains a Russian base in Tartus and the airfield “Hamim” and demanded to reliably protect these objects.

Putin demanded to intensify Russia’s participation in the negotiation process on Syria. He also noted that the decision of the authorities of Russia should be a good signal to all parties to the conflict and contribute to peaceful solution of the crisis.

In turn, the press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, who had previously reported that Putin has this evening will be “really important” business contacts, said the head of state held telephone talks with Syrian President Bashar Assad and brought to his attention the decisions taken by the Russian group.

In turn, the Russian defense Minister Sergei Shoigu reported to the President about the restoration of the control over observance of the ceasefire regime in Syria with the use of intelligence, drones and satellites.
