Scientists have found that in the Arctic 50 million years ago lived a giant bird

The international archaeological team, which employs researchers from China and the US, identified the remains of the animal found in the 1970-ies in the Canadian Arctic archipelago. Then a group of scientists, headed by Howard Hutchinson, discovered a fossilized phalanx of a toe of a huge animal. Then for the first time, Hutchinson put forward a theory that was found belongs to a huge bird that could not fly.
