Scientists are struggling with the elucidation of the mechanism of division of the genome into DNA


Three years ago, when the research team of Dr. Oscar Fernandez-Capetillo, head of group for research of genetic instability in the Spanish National health cancer center, faced with the opportunity to make a panoramic view of the proteins that interfered in one of the more subtle molecular processes of copying genetic material during division of the cells themselves, they could not understand all the subtleties of the work.
