In the Kremlin commented on the positive doping tests by leading Russian athletes — Maria Sharapova, Seeds Elistratova, Ekaterina Bobrova. According to Dmitry Peskov, it is not necessary to project the situation at all Russian athletes.

Before it became known that a dope-test of the tennis player Maria Sharapova, figure skater Ekaterina Bobrova, short of Seeds Elistratova speed skater, skater Paul Kulizhnikov and other athletes identified prohibited from 1 January 2016 the drug Meldonium (“Mildronate”).

The President’s press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that about a doping scandal in the Kremlin, of course, know. “Of course, we are sorry in this regard. However, don’t need this situation to project for the whole Russian sport,” he said.
According to the official representative of the Kremlin, it should not cast a shade on all Russian athletes on their “great achievements”.
At the same time, Moscow strongly opposes the politicization of sport — some media have speculated that with the doping scandal, the pressure on Russia from the outside.
“Trying, so to say, the politicization of sport, attempts to make the sport nature of some policy instruments in achieving certain purposes, destructive sports, international sports, is unacceptable and inexcusable,” – said Peskov in this regard.Related posts:
