About 100,000 people have signed an online petition urging the attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to issue a warrant for the arrest of ex-President bill Clinton – on the grounds that primary election day in Massachusetts he was leading the agitation in favor of his wife in violation of applicable law.
It was March 1st, in the so-called “super Tuesday”, when the voting took place in 11 US States, including in Massachusetts. This state is Hillary Clinton won with a minimal advantage, which is his 50.1% of the votes; her opponent, Senator Bernie Sanders, scored 48.7 per cent; the difference in votes amounted to only 17 000. Supporters of Sanders claim that this minimal advantage in favor of the former first lady has been made illegal due to the fact that her husband, ex-President, enjoying a great popularity, conducted illegal campaigning on election day. The Massachusetts law prohibits to campaign closer than a distance of 150 feet (about 50 meters) from the polling station; Clinton to a single site came right up, and at least in two places agitated being indoors.
“We urge that States the petition is for the immediate arrest of President bill Clinton for the explicit, intentional and flagrant violation of the electoral legislation with the aim to significantly influence the outcome of elections.” The initiators of the petition reinforce his claim the photographs and video of the former President, inside two polling stations, as well as participating in a rally next to another plot. These photos and videos, reads the petition, deny the claim by the representative of bill Clinton’s statement that he did not go inside polling stations. It turns out they came!
The Secretary of state of Massachusetts William Galvin (Democrat and, obviously, the ally of the Clintons) is trying to lower scandal on brakes: “He had the right to go inside polling stations and to welcome those who worked there. Banned the other can’t stop by and say “Vote for my wife”. The Boston Globe, in an interview which Galvin made this statement, writes that bill Clinton did exactly that. One voter in Boston he said: “Pull the lever for Hillary”. And in new Bedford right at the entrance to the polling station thanked the voters: “Thank you all for taking part. A special thank you to those of you who support Hillary”.
The New York Post quoted the angry supporters of Sanders, who believe that the Clintons stole by fraudulent victory of their candidate, and require a revote. These people remember that two decades ago, when bill was President and Hillary was the first lady, they were solid scandalous stories and endless lies. Voters who signed the petition say they don’t want to see the Clintons in the White house.
But, of course, nobody will arrest the former President. He and not one of those alterations came out whole, in 1998 the House of representatives of the US Congress announced his impeachment for lying under oath and obstruction of justice, but the Senate found him guilty and removed from office. Now much more reason for concern for his wife, Hillary: the former foreign Minister may be facing criminal charges, is the investigation of the use of her personal server for official correspondence, including classified information. If this happens, the campaigning bill will not help Hillary, she’s not going to be able in the footsteps of her husband to get into the coveted Oval office. Not to get in a prison cell…
