The decision about the future of Ramzan Kadyrov will be made on the expiry of his tenure as President of Chechnya. In the Kremlin commented on the words of Kadyrov that he was not sure whether to stay at the head of the Republic. However, the statement is hardly to be taken literally – the head of Chechnya might have other motives.
The decision on the further destiny of the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov will be made at the expiration of the term of its service, said Wednesday the President’s press Secretary Dmitry Peskov. The head of Chechnya stated that he is not confident in his desire to continue leading the country.
“On Caucasus there is such a political trick to make you persuaded to be a leader”
“If Kadyrov wants to continue? I don’t want. Now other times with economic, social points of view. We have a team of more professional people. I think I did my duty. The people who lead us, checking, looking, balance – they know better what is needed for further development, in order not to stop the development. Have a team that has the President of the country. All the will of Allah. I’m a marine. If I say continue to serve – I will serve, if you come goodbye – goodbye”, – said Kadyrov.
We will remind that powers of the head of Chechnya expires in April. Election of the head of the Republic will be held on the single voting day on September 18. Ramzan Kadyrov leads Chechnya since 2007 (from 2007 to 2011 as President, after the abolition of the presidential post as the head of the Republic). In 2005-2007 Kadyrov was the head of the Republican government.
Earlier, on February 3, Peskov said that he did not know about the preparation of the decrees on the appointment of Ramzan Kadyrov acting President of Chechnya in connection with the expiration of his term of office. Before that, Kadyrov said that soon the powers on a post of the head of Chechnya he reminded journalists, he on this matter has not yet thought.
Lately, Kadyrov has been in the spotlight in connection with his confrontation with non-system opposition. First, he strongly criticized its representatives, for which he was criticized, in particular, the Commissioner for human rights in Russia Ella Pamfilova. However, the press Secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the statements of Kadyrov, has called critics of the head of the Czech Republic not to escalate the situation, and calmly read a statement.
Instagram later deleted from the page Kadyrov a video in which the Chairman of the party PARNAS Mikhail Kasyanov was captured through the scope. Some felt Kadyrov posted a video threat.
